Prepare a secure braid using your horse’s own tail. Attach the extension, conceal the join and blend for a refined finish.
A cream-gold horse tail extension in natural horse hair that adds instant length and fullness for a clean, show-ready finish. At 450g it blends smoothly with your horse's own tail and moves naturally, whether in the ring or on the yard.
- Cream-gold — blends with golden palominos, cremellos and buckskins where the tail runs gold rather than dark or white
- 450g for a full, natural drop
- Two attachment options — braided loop (invisible join, best for competition) or leather top (faster to fit, best for training and clinics)
- Show-ready — no metal parts
- Brush and wash as you would your horse's tail
- Brush out the tail to remove tangles.
- Fit the extension high under the dock — plait the natural tail hair through the braided loop, or secure the leather top into the braid — to hold it in place.
- Blend the extension down with the tail and check the length.
- After use, brush gently, wash with a mild equine shampoo, air-dry and store flat or in a tail bag.
450g · natural horse hair · braided loop or leather top attachment. No metal parts.
Will a palomino tail extension match my horse?
This cream-gold blends with golden palominos, cremellos and buckskins where the tail runs gold rather than dark or white. Colours read differently in daylight, so view it against your horse in natural light for the closest match.
Which attachment should I choose — braided loop or leather top?
The braided loop gives an invisible join and is best for competition. The leather top is faster to fit and best for training and clinics.
How does it attach?
With the braided loop you plait your horse's natural tail hair through a small fabric loop at the top; with the leather top you secure it into the braid. Either way you then blend the hair down to hide the join.
Can I use it in competition?
The braided loop is the show option. It has no metal parts and suits disciplines that allow hair-to-hair tail extensions. Always check your federation's current rules.
How do I care for it?
Wash with a mild equine shampoo and conditioner, rinse, air-dry, and store flat or in a tail bag to stay tangle-free.
