Our standard length is 80–85cm maximum, suitable for most horses. If you'd like a different length, you can design your own tail through our Custom Tail Builder, with lengths available up to 85cm.

Our Custom Tail Builder lets you design a one-of-a-kind tail extension tailored to your horse. You choose the total weight, length, and how many colours to blend together — we then make your tail to your exact specification. It's the closest thing to a couture piece for your horse.

You can combine as many of our available colours as you like in a single tail. The builder distributes your chosen weight across the colours you select, so you can create anything from a subtle two-tone blend to a bold multi-colour statement piece. Each combination is mixed by hand for a seamless result.

Custom tails are available from 100g up to 800g, in 50g increments, and in lengths from 70cm to 85cm. If you'd like a configuration outside these ranges, please contact us at info@equinetails.com — we'll do our best to accommodate special requests.

Because each custom tail is made to order, please allow 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch. We'll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you as soon as your tail ships.

We ship worldwide via DHL Express. Estimated delivery times: EU 3–5 business days, UK & Switzerland 4–7 days, USA & Canada 5–8 days, Australia 7–12 days, Rest of World 5–10 days.

Shipping rates vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Free standard shipping is available on qualifying orders to the European Union and the United States. All other destinations ship at flat rates — see our Shipping Policy for the full rate table.

All orders include full tracking. Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your DHL tracking number and a direct link to follow your package in real time.

For orders delivered within the European Union, applicable VAT is included in the displayed price and no import duties are due. For orders delivered outside the European Union, Greek/EU VAT is not charged where the export exemption applies. Destination-country import taxes and customs duties are calculated and collected at Shopify checkout where supported. These are charges set by the destination country, not Greek VAT. When import taxes and customs duties are collected at checkout, your order is shipped DDP/DTP with those charges paid, so no additional import duties or import taxes should be due at delivery. Contact us within 48 hours of the expected delivery date if your order hasn't arrived, or immediately upon receipt if it arrives damaged. We'll liaise directly with DHL and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unattached, and in their original packaging with all tags intact. For hygiene reasons, extensions that have been attached to a horse's tail cannot be returned. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Use a mild shampoo and lukewarm water. Gently detangle before washing, work the shampoo through with your fingers, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry flat. Never use hot water, a hairdryer, or any bleaching products.

Store in the breathable bag provided, loosely braided to prevent tangling, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid plastic bags or airtight containers, which can trap humidity and damage the hair over time.

With proper care, our extensions typically last 2–3 years or more. Regular conditioning, gentle detangling, and correct storage will significantly extend their lifespan.

Yes, but use them sparingly. Avoid silicone-heavy sprays which can cause build-up over time. Our own grooming range is formulated to be safe for use on both natural tail hair and extensions.
