Gently detangle from the ends upward with a soft brush. Wash when needed with a mild equine shampoo, rinse thoroughly, air-dry and store clean, dry and flat between uses.
Prepare a secure braid using your horse’s own tail. Attach the extension, conceal the join and blend for a refined finish.
The fullest horse tail extension in the Fairytail range, made from natural horse hair. At 80cm and 700g it adds instant length and maximum fullness for a clean, show-ready finish — for horses with very sparse or short tails or for riders who want the most complete finish possible. Available in Natural Black, Total Black and Chestnut.
- Maximum fullness — 700g, the fullest tail in the range
- 80cm drop, sized like the full Fairytail line
- Three shades — Natural Black, Total Black and Chestnut
- Two attachment options — braided loop (invisible join, best for competition) or leather top (faster to fit, best for training and clinics)
- Show-ready — no metal parts
- Brush and wash as you would your horse's tail
- Brush out the tail to remove tangles.
- Fit the extension high under the dock — plait the natural tail hair through the braided loop, or secure the leather top into the braid — to hold it in place.
- Blend the extension down with the tail and check the length.
- After use, brush gently, wash with a mild equine shampoo, air-dry and store flat or in a tail bag.
Approx. 80cm drop · 700g · natural horse hair · Natural Black, Total Black or Chestnut · braided loop or leather top attachment. No metal parts.
Which shade should I choose?
Natural Black blends with black and dark bay tails, Total Black gives a solid, even flat black, and Chestnut suits bay, chestnut and sorrel horses. View the shade against your horse in daylight for the closest match.
Who is Max Volume for?
Horses with very sparse or short tails, or any rider who wants the fullest, most complete finish in the ring.
Which attachment should I choose — braided loop or leather top?
The braided loop gives an invisible join and is best for competition. The leather top is faster to fit and best for training and clinics.
Can I use it in competition?
The braided loop is the show option. It has no metal parts and suits disciplines that allow hair-to-hair tail extensions. Always check your federation's current rules.
How do I care for it?
Wash with a mild equine shampoo and conditioner, rinse, air-dry, and store flat or in a tail bag to stay tangle-free.
